New Medium-Range Weapon FN Herstal Scar SC for the Thuringian Police!

Last year, we proudly announced the successful completion of the tender process for the new “Medium-Range Weapon” of the Thuringian Police by TeutoDefence and our longstanding partner FN Herstal.

On Tuesday, this weapon was officially presented by Georg Maier, Thuringian Minister of the Interior and Municipalities, and Daniel Gonschorek (Thuringian Ministry of the Interior).
Teutodefence Germany, represented by CEO Holger Veh, was, of course, present!

The new medium-range weapon of the Thuringian Police consists of four different-colored weapons:

🔵 Indoor Training Weapon (Blue Weapon): Enables unrestricted training in indoor shooting ranges with caliber 5.56 mm x 45.

🟡 Laser Training Weapon (Yellow Weapon): Caliber 5.56 mm x 45 for tactical training over a distance of 100 m.

🔴 Training/Handling Weapon (Red Weapon): Caliber 7.62 mm x 35 for the training of police officer candidates and the initial contact with the medium-range weapon.

⚫ Deployment Weapon (Black Weapon): With caliber 7.62 mm x 35, it will comprehensively replace the previous submachine gun.

With this new weapon system from FN Herstal, the Thuringian Police is setting a new standard for efficiency and safety.
