The Ford/Willys M38, manufactured in 1952, used by the US Military Liaison Mission

We are delighted to introduce another highlight from our impressive collection of historical police and military vehicles:

Our vehicle is a Ford/Willys M38 from the year 1952, once in service with the US Military Liaison Mission (USMLM). This mission played a significant role during the Cold War and had its headquarters in Potsdam, with its activities primarily prepared at the Keitel-Villa in Berlin Dahlem.

The USMLM was an organization closely collaborating with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and after the dissolution of the Military Liaison Mission in 1990, it became a German-American joint service. They observed the withdrawal of the Soviet Army from East Germany, acquired documents and military technology, and were actively involved in recruiting agents. These stories make this vehicle a true testament to bygone times.

Our objective at the Police & Military Historical Collection is to preserve such historical vehicles in their original condition. We showcase them at trade shows and company events, and upon request, we make them available for official or public events by agencies and authorities. Whether it’s open house events or farewells, our collection is at your disposal to bring the stories of yesteryears to life.

If you’d like to learn more about this vehicle or use it for your next event, please don’t hesitate to contact us. #HistoricalVehicles #ColdWar #USMLM #PoliceMilitaryHistoricalCollection
